Rain

Sometimes I pray for normal
for the return of darkness...
when the nakedness
of the world
bears no shadow
and nothing will hide
for me.

I see what 'was',
like the moon
forever out of my reach
but it tugs at my sleeve
in this strange place.

and that...is what 'it' is like.
